JCLL programs overview
The JCLL offers beginner, intermediate and advanced learning. The beginner learning format is to study one topic that is from one lecture to three lectures in length and takes place either at the centre or in your home. The learning is not usually text based and is interactive. Prior knowledge of Hebrew is not required. Twice yearly we offer a free 6 week Hebrew Reading Crash Course. Most of the beginner classes are for free. Our intermediate program begins to introduce you to some Hebrew texts on mostly philosophical and lifecycle topics. These classes take place at the Center and there is usually a nominal charge. Advanced Learning is for the student who is willing to commit regularly to a class, has a decent understanding of Hebrew and is interested in working through and completing classic Jewish texts. There is usually no charge for advanced learning although donations are appreciated. |
